Rara and Ribbon’s beautiful watercolours and dainty florals are the creation and passion of Laura, a UK based primary school teacher, mum of three and wonderful artist. Laura’s love of all things creative began in childhood, with many trips to galleries with her artistic Grandmother. She went on to study the history of art at university, where she even set up and ran a life drawing class for her peers!
After months in her early twenties spent living and breathing art around the galleries of Europe, Laura took her artistic enthusiasm to teaching, as well as encouraging her own children to get imaginative (and a little bit messy). Whether it’s peaceful moments alone in the evenings, or creative chaos with the kids, her love of painting continues to grow. Laura’s love of nature and all things floral is expressed beautifully in her work. With watercolours as her medium of choice, Rara and Ribbon’s delicate designs show a range of intricate flowers, gentle colours and idyllic scenes.
These pretty designs are the perfect cards to accompany flowers, gifts or simply to be sent alone, carrying a kind-hearted message. Having made cards for family and friends her whole life, Laura stands by the fact that nothing beats a greeting card for thoughtfulness – needless to say we wholeheartedly agree!
